About Me

Hi and thank you for your interest in our campaign! I’m Robert (Bob) Allen. I have deep roots in rural communities, having grown up on a small farm in Snohomish County. I am a Desert Storm veteran (USMC), former U.S. Post Office worker, and current union electrician (IBEW Local 191). I have lived in Grant County since November 2018 with my fiancé and our dogs Louis and Lamont. I also have an adult daughter who lives in East Wenatchee.

Powering our future is a big challenge, and big challenges demand bold solutions. I am running for Grant County PUD Commissioner to help build a sustainable energy grid that will power our county for generations to come.

You are cordially invited to explore this website and learn more about my vision for our PUD. I hope to earn your vote.

Key Issues

Affordable Rates

I will work to ensure that utility rates remain affordable for all residents, including the farmers who grow our food, while maintaining high-quality, reliable services. We can invest in even more Grant County communities by partnering with industry and agriculture to find commonsense solutions that benefit every resident, not just a lucky few.

Infrastructure Upgrades

I will push for more investments in modern infrastructure to improve reliability and efficiency of utility services. We must adapt our approach to energy production and pivot to meet the challenges of the future. Failure to do so will result in lost opportunities for Grant County, and that is an unacceptable outcome.

Living Wage Jobs

Last year, Grant County turned away a rebar factory project that would have brought 800 new jobs to our area. We can’t afford to lose more jobs for lack of infrastructure. I will push for infrastructure for further growth and industry to create the living wage jobs we need.
